The explanation is slightly incorrect. It states one will get the following error 5 times: Server: Msg 8164, Level 16, State 1, Procedure procTestCounter, Line 12 An INSERT EXEC statement cannot be nested.
I cut the code out and executed it in QA and received: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]COUNT field incorrect or syntax error This was achieved on a Win2K3/SP1 cluster running SQL2K/SP3a. Chalk another one up !
