I am working on a R & D project which involves using Highcharts or other such tools to generate dynamic reports.
I searched on the internet and found 1,2 links related to that but that was not very useful to me as I am more of BI/SQL Developer rather than a front end developer.
Has anyone made any such reporting functionality that can be helpful to me.
Any help will be appreciated.

Trying to embed javascript charts isn't really worth the trouble IMO, I have tried it. If you haven't seen it, this was the best article I found on subject :http://thinknook.com/running-highcharts-within-ssrs-or-any-js-graph-library-2013-01-22/
If you are looking for a wider range of charts, for free, the R graph integration module is excellent https://rgraphicsdevice.codeplex.com/ however it only renders charts as an image - so no interactivity.
If you want to add interactivity and transitions etc Reporting Services is not the tool to be using and you should look into solutions built for that sort of analysis e.g. PowerBI
