I've been poring over pages upon pages of search results and whilst I've found material relevant to log-shipping from a mirror (we do that already), I've not found anything regarding log-ship into a mirror.
We run a SQL Server 2005 mirror in our live datacentre that is log shipped to a SQL Server 2005 cluster in our DR data centre. We are planning to flip the switch and swap our live/DR sites. Thus, the SQL Server 2005 cluster will become the live instance and the SQL Server 2005 mirror will be the target for log shipping.
Does anyone have any experience of restoring transaction logs to a mirrored set-up? Is is just a case of restoring the tran logs to the principal, but also ensuring the restore jobs exist on the mirrored databases in the event of failover?
If you have any relevant experience of doing this, I'd appreciate you sharing it.
