Will restoring master db restore the droped Linked servers

    Hi,

    I have 70 Linked servers added to my SQL Instance (2008). I am going to drop most of the linked servers which I feel is not required anymore. In case if I need to restore all the linked servers again, will restoring the master database which is taken before drop will work?

    Yes, but it would be easier to script out the linked servers before dropping them and keep the script somewhere safe.
