    Aah! Now I see it. Not specified when executing the SP, but when creating the SP. Different.

    I'm in careless mode tonight (eldest son just pointed me at robozzle.com, which I hadn't seen before, result is that I'm temporarily unable to do anything serious, or even something not quite serious like QotD).

  • Personally, I love the EXECUTE AS both when creating procedures and also to impersonate to troubleshoot permissions. Good question.
