Hi All,
I am trying to troubleshoot access problems to an SSRS home page for users located in a trusted domain.
Scenario:
- SSRS server located in Domain A
- Two sets of users some in domain A some in domain B
- There is a two way trust between domain A and B and domain name has a wildcard entry in IE trusted zones.
- Domain A users can access the report manager home page (http://FQDN/Reports), and run reports without issue (after permissions have been granted).
- Domain B users are unable to access the SSRS home page (http://FQDN/Reports), even though permissions have been granted in the same manner as domain A users. When the users try to access the home page Internet Explorer displays a blank white screen and eventually times out. Chrome does nothing at all.
- All users can access the report server URL (http://FQDN/ReportServer).
- I can see the users have authenticated to the server successfully in the servers Windows security event log.
- The SSRS service is running as a domain user (also tried as a domain admin for testing purposes).
- I cannot see any errors/events for domain B users in the SSRS log files, Event or ExecutionLog tables.
- There are no firewall restrictions on Domain A.
- We have no access to diagnose domain B as its administered by another company.
Any help or suggestions for further diagnostics will be very welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Adam
