ssrs export to pdf issue

  • In an existing ssrs 2008 report that is exported as a PDF, part of the report is exported to a second page. However the report should only appear on one page.

I change the report to use a header and 1 rectangle. This works fine export that sometimes the only thing that appears on some pages is the header information. The header information contains the name of the report, run date and run time and page number .This report is setup to appear as 8.5 inches by 11 inches.

I basically do not want the page header to appear on some separate pages.

Thus can you tell me what I can do to solve this?

  • Hi

Small tip, You can set the Interactive Height property of the report equal 0 to fit it on one page.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Mike,

Quick question, does that mean it will change the font size and shrink to fit?

I've had similar issues while printing Policies and cannot allow for a difference in font sizes.

I ended up measuring the exact size of the header and footer, taking into account the margins top and bottom as well as the same for the width of the page margins included and making sure that it is within the page size that I required and finally got my sub reports to remain on one page where needed.

Just as an added bit of info, I found it far easier to manage layouts on a page when I embedded tables within another master table on the page.

Its a bit tricky but once you get the hang of what is being controlled by what, it seemed easier.

    Have a great day,

    Nevarda
