Datazen Licensing

    Morning all,

    I have an environment that is made up one enterprise SQL12 server and another standard SQL12 server that is used to host the SSRS service/DBs. Is it legal to use Datazen on that standard reporting instance? Would having the enterprise server in that environment cover the license? Dumb question but going to the well to purchase an enterprise step license for a reporting instance just seems over kill. But it is what is if needed. My licensing rep seemed stumped also.

    Your probably best getting in touch with Microsoft directly, I can't find no reference on the datazen website in relation to licensing.

    Yeah, that was my next stop. Datazen seems to be only mentioned on the Enterprise section of the MSFT SQL Server page. Just thought I would throw the question out there if anyone else had this issue. Both instances are SA purchased under the '14 licensing structure.
