Considerations if any for changing Windows Local Administrator password

  • Hi - As part of a request from PSN we have a few SQL2005 Servers that require the Windows Local Administrator account to be changed. For these Servers the SQLSERVER & AGENT Services are running against a different account. However there are a handful of DB's that have the Local Administrator account as the DB owner.

I just need to know if there's anything I need to consider before changing the password?

    Any comments are greatly appreciated!

    Regards

    Dax

  • Nope, as long as there are no services running as local admin, you should be fine.
