I have a report that needs to be sent in email from a report server. I can set up subscriptions, but the parameters for the report are not working. Specifically, we have a number of parameters where the available values come from a query in the database. When I set up the subscription, the only value that is available is the default value. I have looked around, and the answer may be in a Data Driven Subscription, but our development server doesn't give that option. Data Driven Subscriptions are part of the Enterprise Edition of SQL Server, and we apparently aren't running that. My question is does the Data Driven Subscription work with report parameters that are specified from a data set embedded in the report. I can't go to my boss and say we have to upgrade our servers for this functionality unless I know that it really does provide that functionality. Does anybody out there have any experience with these types of subscriptions? Some pointers through the minefield would be greatly appreciated.

I spoke with my boss about this, and this is not the solution for my problem. So much for that.
