Been battling a slowness (disk queue lengths over 100,000 MS) newer HP server to new 5600 EMC SAN. 2 weeks ago applying firmware seems to have fixed. Slowness started showing up again this week. We failed over to other node last night issues disappeared. Taking care of clusters for years never seen this before. God forbid the solution is to fail over nodes on a weekly basis, I have gone months without failing over a node. From a sysamdin perspective anyone ever seen anything like this. Running win2008 enterprise and sql 2008r2 enterprise.

have you checked the local settings, for example HBA settings and firmware
