SSRS 2005 issue with WMI ERROR

  • Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is doning well,

Iam facing one SSRS 2005 issue on Prod environment.

    Please see my observations below.

1.Reporting services database is not configured on the instance.

2.im unable to connec to SSRS instance via SSMS.

3.Im getting the below error while opening the Reporting services config manager.

There was an error while switching panels.the most likely casue is an error retrieving WMI properties.the execution details are:

A WMI ERROR has occured and no additional error information is available.

    4.SSRS Services running fine.

few times service were restarted itself but i need to know why the services failed.

    I) The SQL Server Reporting Services (MSSQLSERVER) service failed to start due to the following error:

The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

II) The SQL Server Reporting Services (MSSQLSERVER) service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

Please let me know what needs to be check from our end.

anyone know why the Service itself can be restarted ?

Please, give me some information and suggestions on this so that i can proceed further.

    Thanks in advance!!

    Thanks & Regards,

    DBA
