I have generally set my windows swap file per windows setting. (running 2008r2 and windows 2008 ent edition) SAN guy told me he heard we need the swap file to be 1.5 times the size of memory (that would be 192 gig on this server), that seems insane, I could see in 7.0 days and before but not now. Anyone else doing this?

No, he's working off recommendations probably 15 years old. SQL doesn't use the swap file, you need it large enough to be able to hold a Windows minidump and that's about all.
