Has someone tried this? Or anyone can point me to the right direction?
I would like to write a custom .NET application (or PHP, not sure) that can display a traffic light icon on a webpage, indicating if a backup job is still running. Something like this:
red traffic light: a backup job still running
green traffic light: no backup job is currently running
So normal users or IT can go there and check the status without the need to inspect the T-SQL backup job.
I'm just a bit rusted on my .NET and PHP skills, so need an initial push. Need some ideas.
