Processing Cube - Reading data is very slow

    Hi,

    I have a cube that is processing a very long time suddenly starting yesterday. I watched the sqlprofiler and the execute SQL part is not taking much time but the reading data seems to take a huge amount of time. I looked at the CPU and memory for that server and they are just about 9% CPU and 61% memory which is within the limits. What else would I need to check to see why the cube processing is that slow. Could anyone please suggest.

    Have you taken a look at the performance guide? It covers performance for both build and query of cubes.

    Thank you Steve. Yeah I looked at the performance guide, but not much was given on what each of performance counters indicate and what can be interpreted from each. I think I need to gain some more resources which give in detail about using performance monitor to debug dimension processing and partition processing.
