SQL Server Cluster : Backup the quorum drive

  • Hi,

We use sql server cluster 2012 sp1 with 2 nodes on windows 2008 r2.

Do we need to backup the quorum drive ?

If yes, what is the backup method ?

    regards

    C

  • with the current quorum configurations available you ideally wont be using a quorum disk, this is the single point of failure. No need to back up the disk as the config is replicated to all nodes with a vote in the majority node set
