C2 Audit log on SQL 2008 (R2)

  • After reading on the internet about C2 auditing. A question. Why is there no ability to specify the path to place the C2 log to? I mean why put it in the same area as the database files this to me seems illogical.

As we use it on a live server I have had to create an SSIS package that zip's and moves and purges the previous days logs to a less expensive bulk data partition.

So a sort of open question what do other people do to stop the C2 audit logs gobbling up space.

    Cheers

    Doug
