How to recover SQL server 2005[Standard] Data base in suspeect mode its produciton

    SQL server 2005[Standard]

    Data base in suspeect mode its produciton and it runns 24/7 no down time will be provided dataloss

    how can we recover this 2tb of database with out data loss

    can any one please mention the things in detail

  • To recover without data loss, restore your last full backup and all log backups since that backup. Since the DB is so critical, I assume you must have those backups.

  • Can u please mention how To recover 2tb of database it will allow loss in millions of rupees and no one can able to access db untill the db becomes online bcoz while restoring 2tb of backup it will take so much of time

  • Fail over to your DR server.

    You do have a DR server, given that the system is so critical that downtime will cause the loss of millions of rupees?

    it intresting now its a SQL Server 2005 Standard edition

    There is no DR server no logshipping no mirroing no replication it has only cluster with Active /Passive enviroment

  • If you have no DR server, then yes, the DB is down until you can finish the restore. No way around that. That's why critical servers should have HA/DR plans, so that there isn't massive downtime and financial loss when something goes wrong.

    Is this also a scenario which the previous DBA has given you to solve?
