I am having sql2008 enterprise edition 64 bit with all features installed and now want to
upgrade from 2008 to sql 2012 enterprise edition 64 bit on windows 2008R2.
I have already updated sql 2008 with sp2.
Now when I am trying to upgrade from sql2012 installation media center it
gives error on upgrade rule window as follows:
1)valid DSN error: report server configuration not complete or invalid error.use reporting service configurtion manager
to verify report server configuration.
2)Valid database compatibility level and successful connection failed error:.
How do I configure reporting services.is it for sql 2008 or for sql 2012.for sql2012 report server is already set.
When I tried to add reporting features in sql 2008 instance.it also failed.
What exactly I need to do.Pls if anyone can answer this in detail.

I was able to resolve this by opening Reporting Services Configuration Manager, going to Database, and then creating a new database for reporting services.
