Hi,

I have below partitioned index on order table with below details

Index ID Partition Number Table Name Index Name Index Type Fragmentation
7 9 Orders IX_Orders NONCLUSTERED 91.26293135
7 10 Orders IX_Orders NONCLUSTERED 98.49753181
1 9 Orders IX_Orders_TranID CLUSTERED 90.836162
1 10 Orders IX_Orders_TranID CLUSTERED 98.98676254

Please let me know what is the difference between below two script

ALTER INDEX IX_Orders ON Table REBUILD Partition = ALL

and

ALTER INDEX IX_Orders ON Table REBUILD with (ONLINE = on)

i.e.

ALTER INDEX IndexName ON Table REBUILD Partition = ALL

and

ALTER INDEX IndexName ON Table REBUILD with (ONLINE = on)

whether it is a clustered index or non-clustered index

Thanks and Regards,
Nikhil Desai
