Hi,

I have installed sql server 2008 r2 express on three windows xp machines recently with no difficulties.

I then designed a small vb.net 2010 express to connect to these sql server using ado.net and again no difficulty.

But today I installed on a fourth XP machine but this time I was logged onto the PC as administrator, not as a user on the domain.

Now I can connect to it using SSMS on a different machines but my vb.net wont connect.

I have checked the connection string carefully, but still not connecting, yet I can connect with SSMS on another machine.

Any idea's or know problems with installations using XP Administrator account !
