Adding new database

    I am running SQL EXPRESS 2008 and had a database setup. I ended up having to uninstall and then re-install SQL EXPRESS. Now when I select databases my database is not listed so I try to create a new one. It then tells me I can't because it already exists.

    How do I either get my original database back or how do I delete it so I can create a new one?

    It sounds like the datafiles still exist on disk. Rather than creating a new database, try Attaching an existing database and browse to the disk files.
