My Project: Extract SSIS Package Information into Table
I wanted to get some tips and ideas on the above project.
My client has several SSIS packages running on the production box. Want to extract info from SSIS packages, which is necessary for Documentation purpose/ Reference.
Some packages has 80 Data Flows (DFT) and some with 1 DFT. I don’t want to go through this SSIS packages manually and get info, where I want to run a script and get info like Source DB/Tables, Target DB/Tables.
SSIS is an XML file at the end of the day. Want to find out here, if there is anyone out here, who went through this and if possible guide me with few tips and examples.
