The full error is Executed as user: AHSNET\ladminsalm. Session Provider: Physical connection is not usable [xFFFFFFFF]. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 65535) . TCP Provider: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 10054) OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "10.1.7.183" returned message "Protocol error in TDS stream". I added this job today. I was originally getting an error The owner (csdw) of job ARC_Processing_Step1 does not have server access. I changed the owner to SA and now I am getting the Physical connection error. I pinged the connection the 10.1.7.183 connection with success. I also pinged the connection that the server is connected to with success. Any help is appreciated.

I realized this error only happens to me when I am using the VPN network from home to connect to the remote session to the server I need to get to.
