Hi all,
Can we restore sql server 2008 databases with sql 2012 database backups. Or backward compatibility is not possible in any version of sql.

Hi all,Can we restore sql server 2008 databases with sql 2012 database backups. Or backward compatibility is not possible in any version of sql.
A 2012 instance can restore a 2008 backup (backwards compatible), but a 2008 instance CANNOT restore a 2012 back up (forward compatible).
