Using SQL Standard Edition (2005, 2008) the server is not able to startup more than 25 replication agents.

We've run into this using SQL 2000 and had to place a call to MS. There is an undocumented registry setting that will allow more than 25 replication agents to be configured per instance.

Unfortunately it's been ten years since we've run into this problem and are unable to find any documentation on the setting.

Anyone here familiar with the problem and have a solution?
