Has anyone heard of or used a third party tool to import data to a staging area from a BAK file without conducting a full DB restore?
Red Gate has
SQL Virtual Restore which has been retired. Is there another way to get a table subset off a FULL backup without redesigning the source DB filegroups?
I am an ETL staging developer with no control over the source systems and want to stage only a small set of my BAK file without a full restore.
Ideas?
