I have a small matrix that measures 3.5 on the ruler. my report is set as landscape. but it seems when ever i put a box or anything a little wider then my 3.5 inches it spills over to another page. Im pretty skills in RS 2005 but just getting started in 2008 so im having some issues with the new matrix formats. any ideas would be great.

click on the report design area and then go to properites. Check the interactive page sizes.

i have it set as 11 wide and 8.5 high. which is what i want. any other ideas

If you are working in 2008, set the property ConsumeContainerWhitespace = true. I believe 2005 either does not have this property, or it is already set to True.

Are you adding the text box to the matrix or outside the matrix? Have you turned off the CanGrow properties of the columns? Last, what happens if you put the matrix inside a rectangle? I know I have always struggled with matrix especially when the number of columns is unknown.

I have textboxes outside the matrix, but i put the matrix inside a rectangle and that seemed to work.
