I'm stuck! For ages now I've been unable to set a filegroup to read only mode. When I try to do this I receive the error message shown in the subject line.
Thinking that some kind of corruption is present I removed the filegroup in question and created a new one with a different name.
I created this and the subsequent file config for it and have created two tables in it.
All this was fine, but when I then try to set the mode of the filegroup to read only the error still happens!
Does anyone have any idea why I'm getting this error and more importantly, how I can fix it.
