i have a question and need your urgent reply,
i had this setup
i have 3 servers with ms sql server 2008 r2 , Principal Server ,Mirror Server and witness server
i configured the database mirroring after testing i removed the database mirroring from principal server, after removing the mirroring on mirror server the database status changed to Restoring , i wait for long time but still was showing restoring and didn't become online. so i deleted the database so i stopped the sql services on mirror server to copy the MDF and LDF files than i copied both files to another location and than i deleted the database which was showing restoring status.
than i attached the database which i copied to another location and i am to able attach the database after giving full permissions to both files.
after that i went to principal server to configure mirror again through configure security wizard after completing all the steps when i click on Start Mirroring button it gives error message " Database is not configured for datbase Mirroring (Microsoft SQL Server,Error 1416)
can you please let me know how i can reconfigure the mirroring without restoring database.

You need to restore the Full backup from principal server using With NoRecovery option

Suppose that the prinsiple server is down
How to turn the mirrored db and attach itto the server admin as full databasr
