I was Grouping by City in a Report but the Column had Trailing spaces so I modified the Sp to Trim the spaces.

Is this the only option or are there other ways to handle this?

This is something I would generally do in the SP when that option is available to me. However, you can also do it in the report using expressions. You can group on an expression that contains TRIM(YourColumnName) as well as make a similar expression for the display of the data.
