We had created and deployed some report server models one year back. There are some reports on the Report Server which are using these models. Recently we had a requirement to update the queries in the .dsv files of the models with SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL READ UNCOMMITTED as the first statement in the queries. I was able to successfully change the .dsv files of the models and then generated the new models with the updated .dsv files. But when i uploaded the new report models on the report server and changed the data source of the existing reports with the new model files, i started getting this error!
“Semantic query compilation failed:e EmptySemanticQuery The SemanticQuery does not contain any Groupings or MeasureGroups. SemanticQuery must contain at least one of these elements. (SemanticQuery '')”
Is there a workaround for this issue! i am using SQLServer 2005?
