Hi,
I detached a database, moved it to another bigger disk, attached it back, executed the change_users_login. This is a replicated database. -- so before above steps, i drop all the subscriptions, and publications for this database.
The next day, I received reports from developers and users that the permissions to objects like SELECT, DELETE, INSERT, UPDATE, EXECUTE are gone they are receiving error from their applications. They had problems with lost permissions from other databases as well in that same instance which I did not do any maintenance.
I believe that object permissions will not disappear or remove when detaching a database. Thank God I have a backup of the previous objectpermissions script and just executed it.
What possible could have happen?
Thank you, ZaiZai
