How to create dynamic columns in SSRS

  • Hi,

My client wants to have the report in which it includes the dynamic columns of month-year.

Acount Shipped Address Territory DivisionRegion July-10 Aug-10 Total

RVA maine Miami, Fl Ft LauderdaleSoutheastEast 2 2 4

RVA 124 maine Miami, Fl Ft LauderdaleSoutheastEast 4 5 9

OCB 680 Hickey Boston, MA Ft LauderdaleSoutheastEast 6 3 9

    Ft Lauderdale Total 12 10 22

RVA maine Miami, Fl Boston N North East 2 2 4

    RVA 124 maine Miami, Fl Boston N North East 4 5 9

    OCB 680 Hickey Boston, MA Boston N North East 6 3 9

    Boston N Total 12 10 22

    Grand Total 24 20 44

I have also attached the spreadsheet which shows how it should look like.

I tried Matrix and I am able to show the dynamic month columns but I also need to show the sub total of territory as well as it has to be a drill thru report.

Can anyone please help me how can I achieve in SSRS 2005/2008 ?

    Thanks a lot.

    Gunjan

    Thanks.

    Gunjan.

  • A group footer using the territory as the scope should get you the sub-total rows. I've made reports with dynamic columns and that structure doesn't seem to interfere with expressions like "=Sum(Fields!Month1.Value)". Have you tried adding a footer?
