For about 3 weeks we have been experiencing a freeze up in one of our in house web applications. We noticed that the freeze up coincided with the disk queue length pegging for about a minute on the drives our sql database is located on. It happens about every 30 to 45 minutes. Pegs for one minute thens stops. After it stops everything works fine. It also usually only happens during the day when most of our users are accessing the system. We cannot find any errors or any patterns that suggest a solution. We suspect an I\O bottleneck on the drive but do not know how to proceed. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
