Deleted SQL resources from a Cluster Resource Group

  • Hi,

We have a 2 node active - active SQL cluster on which we were testing few application for upgrade and DR scenarios.

    Our Environment Details :

    OS : Windows Server 2003, R2, 64bit

    SQL : SQL Server 2005 SP3, 64bit

    Nodes : 2

    Cluster Type : Active Active

While testing some functionality for DR scenarios, we had deleted the SQL Virtual name, SQL Instance, SQL Network name, SQL IP address and SQL Agent from the SQL resource group after taking them offline.

How do we add them back / recreate them in the Cluster group. Will mere creation of these resources with the right details by clicking new resource be sufficient or is there something more that we need to do to get these resources back into the cluster Resource group.

  • Did you find a resolution for this ?
