Blocking transaction

  • Hai friends,

i need help, i have posted two queries. these two queries have generate blocking transaction. i want to know why they are generating blocking and how to recover from that.

  • Please post queries, table definitions, index definitions and execution plan, as per http://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/SQLServerCentral/66909/

I don't know what's in that bmp file, because I'm not downloading 2.5 MB to look at a picture. If it's the queries, post them as test in the forum thread. If it's a blocking graph, deadlock graph or the like, either post the (zipped) xml, or save the pic as a .png or .jpg for those of us who do not have unlimited internet bandwidth.

  • Curiosity got the better of me...smaller PNG version attached.

edit: And now I have looked at it. It's a screenshot of a blocked/blocking transaction report in SSMS. It shows information for the blocked statements, but the blocking statement text is very helpfully not expanded.

I'll wait for the OP to post something I can work with.

  • does table TeamManHours have some sort of relationship with table Darhead?
