  • what is the difference between SQl login and windows login

  • They almost describe themselves. A SQL Login is a login defined within the SQL Server system itself. It doesn't have existence outside of the SQL Server instance on which it is created. A windows login is a login provided through the windows operating system. Both these can be associated with database users, roles, etc. to get access to your databases.
