We are running IBM's TSM Data Protection Plug-in for Sql*Server 2005 backup. When we run the backup, it cuts a transaction log, backs it up to tape and deletes it. This seems to break our Sql*Server Log Replication that we are doing today. This means we have to throw away the transaction log management by the TSM plug-in for Sql*Server. I am having a horrible time finding any documentation to tell me if this is a known issue - or if we are doing something wrong. Can anyone point me to some documentation?

Well, I guess I found the answer after some help from our Windows Administrators. Documentation for TSM and my particular issue is located at: http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/pubs/pdfs/redbooks/sg246148.pdf There is a section in this document that clearly states...
Never use Tivoli Data Protection for SQL Server transaction log backups on a
database involved in log shipping.
End of story. Another great job integrating products between Microsoft and IBM.
