I am having tough time resolving the below mentioned error:
General network error. Check your network documentation. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 11)
The above error pops up when I try to fetch near around more than 2000 rows from one server(SQL 2000 enterprise+SP3) query analyzer to another server(SQL 2000 enterprise+SP3linked thru linked server connection). I am just executing select * from remoteserver.dbname.tablename and the remote table contains 16000 rows only.
I tried increasing the default packet size from 4096 bytes to 8000 but it didnt help.
Same query runs fine when I run it during morning and afternoon time but it fails frequently when run in night at 2:00 AM.
