I'm moving away from 2012R2 shared storage clusters in favor of 2016 Always On. This is for an Oracle Commerce (ATG) environment. They require XA transaction be enabled. Not a problem when I can create clustered DTC. I'm hoping that I can use per-DB DTC with XA enabled locally on each server. I'm able to get it to work on a 2014 cluster but failovers require a restart of the app since the other instance has no idea about the XA connections.
Am I crazy in thinking I can get this to work?
