Thanks for the reply.  You actually hit on another question I had yet to research, cascading deletes.  My original Access database was configured for cascading deletes if the primary was deleted.  I assume I have to do something extra to configure this in server?  In this case though I'm not deleting the primary record just trying to keep the child records in order.  Right now I've got a bigger problem that I can't figure out.  None of my updates are working.
