Man, the spam is getting worse. The other morning, 41 out of 50 posts were spam. This morning is almost as bad. Most of it is URL-only. Seems like a simple trick to prevent it. Even a trigger could handle it easily.

Yes, it's definitely getting worse. They're adapting and there seems to be a lot more of it, especially this weekend.

I gave him a post, but I won't open it. No way, no how.

I tend to be paranoid about even the people who post their query plans (especially in Word docs!)

Of course, I'm also usually on while I'm on my work computer, and I really, really, really don't want to get on the wrong side of a security scan...

Its happened where I work, 10 minutes later they were escorted out

Worst that has happened to me is I went to a website (something like f1 sql server?) for something. A few hours later, the security team was at my side saying "we need to take your machine off the network". "Why?" "Because the web filters prevented some dodgy download". "erm..."

So. Because something had been dealt with at the edge of our network (where it shoudl have been dealt with), they still had to take down my machine. "How long is it going to take you to fix this?" I asked; "five days." "OK, just flatten my machine and I'll rebuild - that'll save me three days..."

Yeah. So many things wrong in that place.
