EXCEL destination error: Column names used more than once

  • I have oledb source to excel destination. I have data conversion transformation to cahnge the datattype of the column. The excel source takes the column from both oledb source and data conversion task and throws error " coulmn names are used mor etahn once" even though i have same column name in data conversion transformation too.

    please help to resolve.

  • Does the spreadsheet have column names that are used more than once?

  • This is resolved by unchecking the column in excel destinations ---> columns section

  • I am still having issue with the order of column s it appears.

    example : column 1 , column 2 ...column 5

    The file shows : column 5 , column 3 , column 4 , column1 , column 2

Is there nay way i change the column order on destiantion ?

  • Columns are read or written in the order they are defined in the connection manager. If you're having a problem with the order, check the connection manager.
