Error message regarding Spatial data type

  Hello all

  I'm trying to to implement maps in our reports, but I'm running into a problem with the dataset where the spatial data is stored. The data is related to railways and are either points related to the location of objects along the railway (crossings, bridges ) or lines that show the tracks.

  Regardless of which dataset I use I get the error message : 'Unable to determine the spatial data type in the specified dataset field: <datafieldname>' refering to the correct field, but even if I put in the correct type I still don't get any data displayed in the map.

  All searches I've done related to this has implied that this is caused by the use of parameters in the query for the dataset, but I don't have any parameters or a where clause in my queries. So I'm quite stuck, and would appreciate any help or suggestions.
