Recently inherited a client who moved from internal Exchange server to an external hosting. They had a couple of reports from the Reporting Service being through email. When Exchange got moved they lost those. We attempted to setup a local SMTP service but since we have not other users or official domain on there it was crashing. I've spent 2 days researching Microsoft and various boards and am down to this solution:
1. Using a godaddy smtp pop account. What's tripping me up at this time is the authentication on godaddy side. I can't seem to find the option for RepServices config file to match what is needed. I'm getting a 530 error from godaddy and in my ReportService subscription error log.
2. If we missed something really simple on the local SMTP setup, we open to that answer.
