SQL 2008 R2 Replication/Log Shipping Alternative

  Hi Guys/Gals

  I have an interesting issue, our Production database need to be replicated to a offsite server. Normally I would just go with Log Shipping, but in this case the off site server has no direct link to the production server. The Dev's created a custom solution using cdc, all changes gets written to a RAW file and sent over the FTP and then played back on the off site server. Usually there is only a delay of around 5 minutes using this solution, but the guy who developed this solution no longer work for us ad no hand over was done so we cannot use this solution for our new system.

  I tried to create a Log shipping alternative within SQL Server, where the log files will be created and sent over the ftp to the offsite server, but could not get the offsite server to replay the log files.

  I hope that someone out there can help me with this issue. Hope I did not miss any details.
