    Also watch out for the sun. You can get sun burn far easier at high altitudes than low. Take sun cream, use it liberally, even if the day is cold.

    Or cloudy. Yes, UV does go through clouds, especially in the mountains.

    Ah the mountains, where I got a sunburn on a cloudy day even when wearing sunblock.

    Reflection of the snow, wind chill and cool breeze, perfect recipe for a sun burn, even in low cloud / fog conditions ( I know, spent 20+ years skiing in the summer:blush:).
