I've been to Paris 5 times and I have not once seen the Eiffel Tower. Therefore the Eiffel Tower does not exist!

Ok, the 5 times I've been to Paris have been 4 to the Airport and 1 where I only saw the inside of two train stations and the Paris Metro and so shouldn't expect to have seen the Eiffel Tower, but I think the phrase works better without the explanation.

Paris used to exist. Haven't been there since '87, but while it was beautiful, didn't enjoy the people very much. I'll have to give it another chance now that I'm older.

I was there a couple of years ago. I can confirm the Eiffel Tower was there, but not working!

3 very nice snow covered days, and two back to back Marillion concerts - only repeated 4 songs over the two nights. Went via Eurostar. Discovered later that all the trains after the one I was one had been cancelled and a few Brits doing the same thing as me missed out. Steve, it might have been the snow, but I found most of the people there very nice, even with my almost non existent French - whcih I was expecting to be a problem :O

Didn't make it to the louvre, so still have to tick that one off the list, and learn a reasonable amount of French before hand 😉
