As one of the world's worst predictors I shall keep any inklings under my hat. Suffice to say, predicting what technology will survive and thrive is difficult especially in an industry where when one looks back at its history some occurrences are still difficult to explain.

The only prediction I will make is that the levels of abstraction will continue to rise in many technological areas both making some current common fields of work niche whilst also creating others.
